One of the most interesting aspects of my depression is that after the lowest bout, after the point of true despair, I usually have some brilliant realization about the nature of reality or some other nonesense.
That’s why I never tell people when exactly am I depressed, because that makes me feel better prematurely, and I stand to lose more than I stand to gain.
